clips left in after gall ladder surgery

I had gall bladder surger about 10 years ago and the clip that was left in is still uncomfortable and feels like it is poking me under my breast bone. Is this normal or is it because I am short (5'1") and not enough room in there?

The clip used to seal off the cystic duct is typically left. But has this been bothering you since the surgery, or did it start recently? Most clips end up getting surrounded by connective tissue as that area of the body 'remodels' after the surgery. So by about a year after the surgery it's so stuck in place that it's virtually immobile.
