does this happen to anyone else

my problem starts with my stomach cramping, start getting dizzy, go to the bathroom to wait it out, if I can lay down
break out in a sweat -start trying to lay my dead on anything metal - trying to cool  down, sweat starts poring off my head, my clothes get completly wet. my stomach continues to cramp. all this time I feel like I AM GOING TO PASS OUT. Can not go to the bathroom till it works it' way down. After I am able to have a bile movement I start feeling better
This last for as long as 3 hours. Would like some answers if any one as the same problem. Been doing this for years. No help from doctors.

I'm glad you got to go to a doctor who knew about the vega vagal nerve (thanks for reminding me of the name) mine didn't know what I was talking about.  I would try and go to another cardio doc though... I just feel like it's unprofessional for them to say its not inportant.  I haven't looked that much more into it though because the other problems I'm having are so much worse and I have them almost 24/7.  It also hasn't happend to me in almost a year so its been pushed to that back burner for now.  Let me know if anything comes up.

The nerve you are talking about, is the vega vagal nerve. It starts in your head and goes thru your body. It can effect your whole body. Even your BM's. I do have trouble with constipation, blockage, and loose stools. Also gastro pain and acid relux. I have had all the test, thru the years. The last doc. I went to is real concerned about this vega nerve and he wants me to see a cardio doc. I saw a cardio doc. and he brush it off as not important. So my question, who do I believe. Do I need more test? Are should I just live with it. Once I passed out and fell off the toilet and hit my bath tub. Had to crawl to the livingroom to the phone. Not going into more detail, but it was not pretty. Spending hours in the bathroom, with your boss wanting to call an ambulance. Is not good either. Hope you can find some help. It's not fun for any of us. Good luck

I have had this happen to me 3 or 4 times over the past 2 years.  Ive even woken up on the bathroom floor with a gash in my face.  One time when I was at work, which was very scary.  None of my doctors have been able to give me any answers ether.  The only thing that I have found online is something about a nerve in the lower ab's that gets bothered when you have to make a BM and that can cause this to happen to some people.  but i couldnt find any other evidence to back that up, and I feel like doctors would know if that were the case.  I wonder if it could be from rapid fluid loss.  But I do know that we are not alone because I have seen a bunch of people asking about the same thing.  And its really strange.  Do you have any other GI problems?  I do but I'm still undiegnosed.
