Inflammation of around-the-anus skin is quite characteristic for Crohn's disease. Things coming out and then back may be internal hemorrhoids. The problem may be a prolapsed rectum.

If abscess develops in anal area, it may result in fistula. If all your skin there is soft you may get a fissure after straining.

If it is IBD - Inflammatory Bowel Disese - what includes Crohn's disease and Ulcerative colitis, then this has to be treated with antiinflammatory drugs and local procedures like abscess draining, hemprrhoids repair and such.
But - colonoscopy first.

Eat fibers and drink enough to have soft stools to prevent further rectum damage.

Oops! I forgot to mention if you are experiencing a lot of pain and discomfort in the bowel due to colitis you may need to do a 10 day round of Sucralfate. This drug is taken about one hour before each meal and at bedtime. This drug coats the digestive tract and binds to raw areas in the bowel allowing food and waste to pass without irritating already swollen tissue. With continued use the inflammation usually recedes and the bowel starts to heal. Good luck k28!

I'm not certain what your experiencing with the anus issues. The only thing I can say is that UC can cause a lot of damage to the rectum and anus. Bowel moments can be horribly painful and it can feel like you're passing a slow moving rock. Do you pass puss? If you do you may also be experiencing and infected Diverticulae or Diverticulitis. I wish you good luck with your insurance. God bless!

yeah,i definatly do.i had one schedualed.but i'm trying for insurance help first.

also something i didn't mention is my rectum lining or around it on the outside is real soft and painful and during bm (and other activities)it swells out,but not inside just the skin all the way around.sometime it swells over top over the rectum.it feels like a scar?standing but during bm it pokes out all around feels like from pressure.

it won't do it at visits and all the docs have no clue!it's the reason i went for surgery and it come out worse.it also has sharp pains and twitching sneezing causes it too and hard to untense muslces(sphicher i think).which they said was fine.

it's been this way for 4 or 5 months is it muscles falling out or what it feels like a fat lip or something(it's soft)and it's in bubble sections like  4 or so around rectum but it goes back.nothing acually comes out it's just around it.

what does this sound like because no one here has a clue.thanks
