foul smell in stools

foul smell in stools

My stool smells really bad, when i use the restroom i gez nobody can choose to go there after me. There is this bad smell from my skin/stomache. I took a stool test and found out that i have bacteria and low volume of ALT. I am taking Lebvid, that this makes my body smells?

Levbid is a drug to retard muscular spasms. It will do nothing to treat the bacteria or change your levels of ALT. If you haven't been treated for the bacteria, make sure you check with your doc and get the correct treatment via antibiotics if necessary. Some bacterial species can produce very foul odors.

Also check with your doc whether or not you need to look further into whether the presence of ALT should be checked.

You might want to have your doc check your stool for a bacteria called colistridum difficile.  It's routinely called c-diff.  This causes the stool to have a very bad smell and needs to be treated with antibiotics.  The comment made by CalGal is correct in stating that you need to have the correct diagnosis made in order to get the right treatment.  Ask your doctor and I pray things work out okay for you.
