gall bladder surgery and loos stools

I am a paraplegic and it has been recommended by my doctor to have my gall bladder removed due to gall stones.  I am deathly afraid because I have heard horror stories of loose stools after surgery.  Since I have a spinal cord injury I do not have control of my bowel  Has anyone in my similar situattion had their gall bladder removed, and did you have any problems?

I just went to my doctors for followup apt and now I have the diahrra.
I hope this will stop. This will be a big life change in eating. I've change my way to eat before the surgery. Had to wait 3 weeks. Just alot of
local resturants dinners are greasy (fried, or high in fat). they don't have
alot of plates that our low fat.  Is there any resturants that have alot
of them?

some of the things i do that help out is eat less on the meals , less greasy foods , i've try the bile salts but don't use it now. My doctor got me on some meds also (Dicyclomine 10mg) help out a little ..also I use a (Abdominal Binder) however I go off my diet a lot .. start eating wrong foods... and it start actiog up again. A friend told me about this over the counter med (Acidophilus Probiotic) but havn't try it of yet. I don't take a lot of Pain meds really I believe that the wrong way to go. If I stay out of the fast food places and ribs, pizza foods like that I do pretty good......I get a little pain in the lower abdominal but I can handle it ok. we all have to work it out in our own way... hope it might help someone out....happy days ahead......gallbladder been out about 1 and half years...and i'm a Paraplegic   t-12 l-1////////

I've had my gall bladder removed May 06. I've had nothing but diarrhea (explosions - like a sump pump is attached) unexpectedly - no warning at least 10 times a month. Of course I have reflux quite often as well. I take Colestipol and Immodium on a daily basis as recommended by my dr. It doesn't really help. This is a disability, but it is not considered such to the SSA. I take psyllium powder almost daily, watch my intake of dairy products. My life turned into HELL since May 06. Is there anything else to be done?
