gas coming out of mouth

What could be the cause of a gas I see coming out of my mouth that smells bad?  It is like when it is cold outside and you can see your breath.  I can see my own breath but it is not cold outside.

Thank you. I will follow up with a doctor appointment.

Mcarthj, the odor could result from a number of causes. One could be tooth or gum problems in the mouth, so you might consider checking with your dentist. If that has been ruled out, you may want to follow-up with your doctor about the possibility of stomach-, esophageal- or gallbladder-related issues. Problems in those locations can result in a malodorous state. For instance, many with problems stemming from H. pylori - the bacteria resulting in gastritis and stomach ulcers - report breath odor.
