Burning in rectum

I have a burning sensation-kinda of sitting on a fire feeling on my anus all day long and it is worse when i pass stool.I have had a colonoscopy done about a year ago and I was told that I have some minor hemorrhoids. Even if Hemorrhoids was the problem, I don't think it can hurt all day long. I have been having this problem for a long time-any thoughts on this please?

Put vaseline inside, it soothes and heals and the burning will subside.

As for your gassed-up tummy, this comes from food not passing quickly through the digestive tract.  It gets stuck and rots and gives off gas.  Sometimes this is caused by eating one huge meal in the day instead of several smaller ones, or again not enuff fiber to keep things moving.  Also could be a hydration issue, which if you take a medication that dries you out, it will also dry out your stool, making it bunch up big or hard, which can hurt even a normal person when it passes.  The cure is to adjust your medication or drink a whole lot more water.

After bathing, you could examine your bottom with a mirror, pull and look and see if there's a visible tear or injury, and if you do see that, you should let the doc know.  If it's just swollen, particularly if you usually don't see blood, then it's those dang hemorrhoids...straining sometimes causes them, which is a sure-fire indicator that your stool is not passing quickly enuff, for the above-mentioned reasons.  Cheerios, wheat toast, even spagetti, also water and exercise, small meals, adjusting medication, all help this.  Also, you've got to keep it clean, keep KY jelly on there, use aloe toilet paper.  Sometimes hemorrhoids DO get so goofed up that they have to operate, which the doc can decide.  Also could be something has recently prolapsed or something new is in the way, which a physician exam should reveal.

Thank you for your valuable comments..it is encouraging.

I have had this problem for the past 2 years atleast and i have seen atleast 4 different GE's and once I tell them that I had a colonoscopy done and was told that I had Hemorrhoids , immediatly all the doctors starts working on the same angle. One GE ordered for some blood work to be done to see if I have some infections and it came out normal.

I have tried Prepartion H as well as other prescription ointments and nothing works...sometimes when i pass stool I feel like acid is oming out of my rectum..It's miserable! I am just so worried that there might be something really serious going on inside.I now use the donut seat at work and car-although it is very embarassing.

Also lately my stomach is getting bigger (of course I am a male and I am not pregnant:) )and I am being very gasy as well and that adds to my worry.Do you guys see any connection at all? Please help

Cal is right, see a doc, might be a little tear there or something.  In the meantime, hemorrhoids can flare up, they can get irritated.  To sooth them, you can try several things.  KY Jelly on there after bathing and passing waste helps.  If you're having a bit of watery stool, that can dribble and make hemorrhoids sting, so carry a few baby wipes with you, to keep the area clean, plus add a little more fiber type food to one of your meals, to make waste more solid.  Then there is the tried-and-true Preparation H, the ointment shrinks the hemorrhoids to where they don't hurt as much, especially in an "emergency" such as yours.

It's time to go back to the doc. You need to be checked. There's really no way to put a 'name' on what's going on until the tissues are checked.
