Rectal Bleeding

what can i give my boyfriend for rectal bleeding that is over the counter?
no blood in stool yet but when peeing blood is dripping out of his rectum as if it is coming straight from his intestine. very fresh bright red blood

He needs to go to the GI and the GI will have a colonoscopy done to see what's wrong. It's not normal at all for that to happen and I've had the same issues. It will help to make sure he stays away from Advil and blood thinners till the Dr gets him sorted out.

I just talked to him about it again. His dr. told him it is ok as long as it is not frequent, and it is bright red fresh blood in small amounts. No blood since yesterday. Doc said it is due to excessive diarrhea from with drawing off suboxone. I guess his intestinal lining is a lil thin from all the acid coming through. We are monitoring it. Just wanted to know if there was something like kaopectate or pepto that might sooth it and help the ruptured vessel heal better and maybe faster.
