If you eat something wrong, it may take 48 hours or more before you get diarrhea (usually "the next day"). Only poisoning with staphylococci and clostridium perfringens cause diarrhea in few hours.
Also you need to replenish your potassium salts and your sodium as well. So just sodium is not enough. I think you can find sports drinks without the corn syrup, im not sure where though, try a health food store?
Try it again in a few days, eat the pickle and then drink the water and see if it happens again. Then you will know if that was the problem.
Also it is believed that some people have a water intolerance to certain types of water, like mineral water and stuff like that but I don't think any of it is factual.
I think you probably just ate something bad a day or two before and the stomach full of water really sped it along!! lol
sports drinks are high fructose corn syrup usually, i try to be healthy and ovoid that when possible, i didnt have any problems or pain, anything prior to the incident or after i resolved the situation at home, if the pickle was bad i couldnt imagine my body would act immediatly. if the breakfest was bad i woulda likely noticed discomfort sooner
i think my stomach opened up for the pickle just as i was drinken water and the water just flooded into my intestines. maybe worken in 100 degree weather with the sun and lil water had somethen to do with it. i've had this problem befor now i think about it with applejuice. when i drink too much, i think my body just cant handle a liter+ of fluid in small time frame. thats messed up tho
Your intestine can absorb up to 20 liters of water per day.
Diarrhea is not from water or any fluid. Like said above, you've probably have eaten something wrong (food poisoning). Food is quickly spoiled in hot place...It could also be a spoiled water though.
Food poisoning is a bacterial infection of small or large intestine. In most cases it resolves in 2-3-4 days without any treatment. You should drink to prevent dehydration, eat what you want, maybe avoid fat and that funny vinegar stuff :) (salt is also in sport drinks, so better go with these).
also you have 2 sets of intestines. The small and the large intestine. The small intestine is between 20-25 feet and the large is about 5 feet. So its not really that far to travel
It could have been from something you ate the day before. I don't think drinking water and a pickle necessarily gave you the diarrhea.
On the other hand if you don't usually drink a lot of water and then suddenly you introduce a large amount, your body may not handle it exactly how you would think. You may have to get your body used to having that abundance of water that your not used to having.
OR it could have just been a bad pickle.
Something to think about.
i buy a pickle and water my body freaks out, i bet it woulda accepted a cheese burger frys and a fuken soda tho. and now i'm thirsty again. **** this i aint drinken water, i apparently aint responsible with it
i drank the viniger pickle water too because it had salt i thought my body needed i cant even explain how pissed it makes me when i try and do right and my body works against me.
i'm only 21 with no history of anything,
