ibs

i'm a 30 yr old male.about 8yrs ago i had pain in my stomach area. doc put me on an antiacid pill, helped for about 5 yrs and then it stopped working. in the last 6 to 8 months my symptoms have gotten bad. pain in right side, nausa, dirreaha at least 4 times a day, and appitate has gone down a little. all test and blood work came back good. oh ya a year ago my gallbladder was taken out, not the problem. my doc labled me as having ibs. not buying it. could this still b something worse? second opion? or do i just have to live with the intense pain?

When my sister had her gallbladder removed, it caused her stool to be pretty loose and she said food would go right through her, especially anything fatty.  However, I have never heard of the pain and nausea associated with that.  Usually with IBS, which I have had for years, pain and cramps disappear when you move your bowels completely. Do you go for any length of time with relief from pain after a BM?  Many people actually become constipated after the bout of diarrhea.  Then the cycle starts all over again.  For some reason your case doesn't sound like IBS.  Especially the low appetite. But I am not a health professional, just an IBS sufferer.  This may sound like a no brainer but try to include fiber in your diet.  High fiber supplement like Metamucil or equivalent.  Also include a small amount of bran in your daily diet.  Fiber has the ability to help form a healthier stool.  It may seem like a small thing, but it can't hurt to try. Because I have little medical expertise, I am not sure what all your tests were checking for.  Were any for allergies?  Have you had any dietary, emotional or even environmental changes right before you first noticed these symptoms?  Moved to a new house, got a divorce, new public water or private well? Are you taking any new vitamins or supplements?  Let us know how u r doing.  The best of luck to you.
