It has been a few years since your post and I wonder how you have been doing. I would look into liver detox formula in the health food store.
first of all, the itching is a sign that the person is not detoxing properly, in this case it is bile backed up in the liver.
because the stint is insearted in the bile duck and its diameter is usually narrower than the line that is attached to the external drainage bag. this means that it gets blocked more easily than the line that goes to the external drianage bag. usually after the procedure of putting the stint in, there may be some internal bleeding which will result in blockage in the stint. this may take a while to clear up but liver usually generates 500 cc to 1000 cc of bile daily. if the stint is clogged, the backup situation could happen rather fast. when there is blockage like that, it increases infection in the liver and galbadder areas, which could result in septic infection that is deadly for an eldly person or someone has any other health complication.
if i were you, other than calling the dr to make an appointment, i would monitor the patient's tempature a few times a day, also, check the color of his stool. if it is not yellow, for example, white, his bile is blocked almost completely. if it is dark, like black or black chocolate color, it is due to internal bleeding. i would also monitor his blood preasure also the color of his eyes. i will do the above and record the findings until this patient is in a dr's office.
hi, does anyone know of any substance or poison that can cause lower bile duck cancer, presented in a 41 year old with no history of cancer
I am unsure whether I am suffering from a blocked bile duck but have been suffering with extreme itching since giving birth to my daughter. I was diagnosed with maternal HELLP Syndrome which elivates the liver enzymes during pregnancy and am now wondreing whether this could be as a result of un- repaired damage. I do suffer with eczema but this itching is worse than any i've previously experienced. What should I do?
I do not believe that anyone on this board can tell you whether or not the presence of a lymph node that is blocking drainage from the liver means that the cancer has invaded his liver. This is something you need to address with your father's doctor. The presence of a stent should help with the jaundice.
my dad has been diagnosed with b-cell lymphoma, now he is jaundice, we found that one lymph node is blocking the bile duck. they are oing to put in a stint as soon as a bed is available, with this alliviate the problem, and does this mean that the liver is cancerous?
Call the doc. If the itching and rash are back it sounds as if the stent is not doing the job it should be doing. He's probably 'throwing' bilirubin back into his bloodsteam causing the symptoms you're seeing.
