Sore anus and slight leakage

Over the past few months I have developed a soreness in the anal area, and now have a bit of leakage as well.  It has become very uncomfortable to sit, but get relief when lying down.  Leakage seems to cause burning and of course staining of underpants.  At this point I suspect hemorrhoids or anal fissures.  Colonoscopy six weeks ago showed clear colon, but some diverticulitis, however did not have the anus problem at the time.
Historically, I only have infrequent constipation, but normal bowel movements have tended to be very pasty and sticky, making hygiene difficult, and often would have two movements per day.  There would be periods where I would have completely normal bowel movements, with little or no residue on the toilet paper.  Seldom have diarrhea.  Diet lacks a lot of fruit and vegetables, and take daily vitamin supplements.  I have also had occasional minor hemorrhoid flareup (past 50 years), which would usually subside after a few days treatment with Preparation H.
As a retired 72 year old, my life style is sedentary, with about 45 minutes a day on the treadmill, but the rest of the day sitting.  I have also been taking probiotics for the past six months with inconsistent results.  Looking for suggestions before I ring up the doctor again.  Thanks.
