thx 4 ur response! deeply appreciated.
Hi there,
First of all, be sure that you are truly constipated and don't instead have an inflamed colon. Many (like myself) mistake constipation for inflammation as it has similar symptoms: a distended abdomen, discomfort, bloating and gas. Diarrhea can easily inflame the intestine, especially if you've been alternating between that and straining on the toilet.
If you are sure that you are constipated, the best thing to do is drink 2 or 3 glasses of warm-to-hot water on an empty stomach, preferably first thing in the morning. And continue to do so throughout the day. Do not up your intake of fibre supplements or fibrous foods until you have passed the leftover stool inside. While fibre is great to keep your insides clean, it can make situations worse when it comes to constipation, and I wouldn't suggest risking it.
Small round stool generally means you're either dehydrated/constipated, or there is a bowel obstruction of some sort. The redness in your stool can also suggest that you have torn the lining, and my guess this is from the harsh straining and irritation. I wouldn't jump to the idea that you have a parasite. Parasites usually come with a list of other symptoms.
I suggest picking up Lily of the Desert Aloe Vera Gel, and drinking it along with the water. It is very helpful in calming an inflamed intestine and making a slippery way for stool to pass through. It tastes pleasant and can be found at most health food stores. This made all the difference for me.
Go easy on your diet until you are feeling better, and no straining okay? Be patient. Your body heals miraculously if you treat it kindly.
If you need anything else, don't hesitate to send me a message.
