Just read your situation and I was wondering...have you ever been diagnosed for metabolicMetabolic acidosis syndrome (Syndrome X)? I'm asking because I was and I too have gout at a young age (31) along with upper abdominal region discomforts (fatty liver diagnosis).
Individuals with Syndrome X usually have high blood pressure/low HDL/high triglycerides/high uric acid (gout)/overweight w/ large waist circumference (ie. gut)/high glucose levels. With Syndrome X comes a greater chance at having fatty liver.
Anyways, not a diagnosis for you but just something that you may want to look into for your gout/abdominal aches.
