post op gallbladder severe pain

Ok even though there are already hundreds of people on here just like me, here goes. On march 14 2010, I began having an unusual pain in my upper middle abdomen as though I had just ate a very large meal even though it was first thing in the morn and I had not ate yet. Over the next couple of days the pain grew worse and worse until I was unable to get myself off the ground. Plus, the area directly where your stomach would be began appear swollen. It looked as though I had swallowed a soft ball or something. On march 16 2010, I was rushed to the er and they began their routine mumbo jumbo. Drawing blood, chest xray, ct scan, gave me several antacids, reglan, protonix, and then morphine for pain.  After a 2 days of agony and more tests, hida scan, ultrasound and scope, they said my gb function was 28% and I had duodinal ulcers. So, we decided to do lap chole. To my knowledge everything went fine, no stones. However, immediately following the surgery the pain continued, as though they had not done a thing.  Granted at this point it was more tolerable from the fentanyl, demerol, morphine and whatever cocktail they could come up with. I was then released about 5 hours following surg. Almost a month out of surgery and I am in as much pain as before if not more and still look like I am in early pregnancy. I returned to the er a couple of nights ago and was treated like crap. Situation was totally ignored like I was pretending. Granted they drew blood and ordered a CT which as usual everything came back normal. Oh I forgot to mention they gave me Toradol which is an NSAID, I wasn't aware of that little tidbit till l researched it.  NSAID for gastric pain, come on.  I am scheduled to see a GI doc, but am terrified based upon all the forums I have read where no diagnosis was admininstered. I am generally a "tough guy" and coal miner by trade and cannot live like this. What the heck is going on with me? As a history note, about 9 years ago I had a severe bout of "Montezuma's Revenge" after visiting Central Mexico, which left me bed riddin for 2 weeks with SEVERE diareha with blood.

PS. GP thought he was clever and prescribed antideppressents for nervous stomach.  Cannot believe that didn't help. Sarcastically typed.

Just an update, I finally got into a GI doc today. And guess what still no answers. He kinds looked at me like I was out of my mind. He ordered more bloodwork CBC and liver enzymes, gave me a couple bottles of nexium and said come back in a week. Makes me wonder how long these doctors would walk around with a knife stabbing into their abdomins before they did something about it. Ahh wait a week and it will be better.

Forgot to add that in this 3 week time frame I have lost close to 20 lbs from the inability to eat anything significant from the constant pressure on my stomach. Not to mention I don't really feel hungry, a few bites of something "fills me up".
