right abdominal pain before and after gallbladder removal

by sal456, Jan 04, 2007 12:00AM
I have pain in upper right quadrant for almost 1 year.  Gallbladder removal in 7/06 with no relief.  Many tests run with no answers.  I have diagnosis of T 7-8 HNP and T 8-9 bulging disk.  My Primary care doc seems to have given up and tells me she doesn't know what else to do and just to continue taking my pain meds.  I feel the pain in my right side, upper and lower abdomin (abdomen), primarily in upper, not my back.  Has anyone else experienced this or have any info that may help?

I had my gallbladder removed several years ago.  This past year i have been experiencing abdominal pain and bloating that usually comes 2-3 hours after eating.  Lately i have had some severe pain upper right abd. and radiating around the rib cage to the back by scapula.  What is causing this and what can i do to prevent these symptoms.

I had same symptoms and had gallbladder removed on 8/06. Eventually pain got so bad in my right side, eventually put in hospital for a couple days. They did an ERCP and found small stones and sludge in the main bile duct. During ERCP these things weren't even seen during the x-ray portion. Have had 2nd ERCP since then. Still have discomfort! Seee a gastro doc!
