saliva glands

I have had gastritis on and off for 3yrs and have been taking Nexium on and off for that time. Currently im on 40mg daily and have been for 2wks, For 3wks now i have been experiencing over active saliva glands and have seen 2 doctors who have ruled out stones and can't find anything else and have said maybe its related to my stomach problems. I have not ever experieced this before and tends to come on after eating and will go away after few hrs. I do not take any other medications.

Hi Sarah,

I have learnt recently that excess acid produced due to acid reflux may damage the teeth. I am also experiencing teeth pain, sensitivity and severe GERD. I need to visit the doctor again to fix this up.

Do you see a GI doc?  If not, try there... Good luck and God bless!

angeldove355, i'm not sure but maybe the dentures are the problem, especially if they do not fit... check too to see if having the teeth pulled damaged the salivary glands... hey, it never hurts to check something out :-D
