troubl;e swallowing

I have troble swallowing.I had a EGD in march  and had my esphgagus streched and they said i have GERD,i take nexium after a year on pliosec.food gets stuck in my throat and i cant swallow i have to gag and get it all up.i am on a bland soft diet and still haveibng trouble. I am having another EGD  on NOV 2. what could this be.

If this is due to the GERD, it's not being controlled by the medication and you need to discuss other options with your doc. You should also ask about having esophageal manometry done to make sure you're not having a problem with esophageal motility.

what is esophageal motility? i will look it up.i am just tired of thinking wow i can eat again then boom every few days this happens
