upper left abdominal ache

Hi I am a 51 year old female, I am so glad that I'm not the only one with this weird ache..Mine is just under my left breast, and it also aches directly behind it in my back. I had bloodwork, all is well..I had an upper GI with Barium, all was well..had a CT about 3 years ago..I do have a hiatal hernia. it isnt there constant, it comes and goes..sometimes for a while..But I do notice when I get upset and stressed out, its right there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Any suggestions???

I have the same upper abdominal ache under left rib but I also feel the pain on upper left abdomen also.  I have had every test available except ERCP and everything keeps coming back normal.  My doc now is calling it IBS which I do not agree with since I do not have Diarrhea (besides 1 or 2 soft bm every morning) and I do not have constipation. If you every get a diagnosis please post it so that it can help others.  I just get so upset to think that a person can help constant pain and no test can tell what is causing it.

I am going through the same thing.  The test so far has shown nothing.  What is ERCP?  I hurt in the upper left abdomine right under the breast bone into my back. they say I have IBS.  Sometimes I can cough, bend ower a certain way or reach behind me and something will pop out in the area left under my breast bone. It is very painful.  In 1993 it caused some fatty turmors .  I went to a surgen and told him what was going on and I thought when I had surgery he was going to explore, but he only took out the tumors. I told the gastro and he said unless he could see it he didnt know what it could be,  In 93 the gastro here in anderson seen it but didn't know what it was. I am having the same problem now. I was having diarrhea and as soon as I ate I was having to go to the bathroom, but now I feel like something is stoppong me from going (BM), but I still am not constipated when I do go. I also have acid reflux.  It is do bad that my throat is dore and I have a swollen tongue.  The gastro sent me to the ENT, he said it was from the acid refluc. Increased my kapidex (60mg) to twice a day which has cramped my whole stomach and made my neauea worse, so I went back to one a day.  I keep an offul taste in my mouth all the time and feel neaues. I have called the ENT and waiting for them to call.  Any advice would help.

Hi! I am 58 years old and I am having the same pain.  All my test so far as come back normal.  Do you also have acid reflux. They diagonised me with acid reflux and IBS. What test have they but you through?
