Hi Mikekim,
I am not a doctor but have the same as you are describing. I believe this is called a floater. Floaters can develop at any time and usually don't go away but don't necessarily mean a serious health issue. What made me respond to your question is because you mentioned stress. My floater developed just as i started a new job and had a very stressful year with house moves, getting married and becoming a dad! I now suffer anxiety and have a bag full of other symptoms that bother me but my doctor told me a floater was nothing to worry about, i also had a MRI of my head 4 months ago because of the anxiety symptoms i was having which came back normal. I hope this is somewhat comforting for you, Just type in floaters in to google and you'll find loads of info about them. Take care
