Hello you sit in a chair, they numb your eye with drops, they place the wand under the front surface of the eye, they will either have you look straight ahead or in various different directions depending on whether you are having an A or B type scan done.  The test generally takes about 15 mins.  and the echos, sounds, or reflections as they are called of the eye during the test will show the doctor the structures of the eye.  Since the eye is numb there is no pain or discomfort during or after the test.

Please forgive me, I failed to read my own writing before i posted and now i see how terrible it is. What I meant for the post to read was:

I have never heard of an ultrasound on the eye. The eye i very easily viewed by eye exam equipment such as a retinal camera, but i don't know everything, so i will do some research and see what i can find.
