there are assisted living and nursing homes that are covered by these insurances you have to call the facility and talk to social services and you will need your dr to write and order that she needs to be in that type of home the social services should be able to answer further questions I have worked in both types of homes and this has been my experience I hope this helps some
You can always visit facilities and ask what they accept. Their social workers/case workers can then verify if your grandmother's benefits are acceptable for that facility are not, if the benefits will pay 100% or if you have to pay a percentage, etc. A nurse at home will NOT be cheap and I don't think her benefits will cover it. A nursing visit will be ok, but a nurse at your home for hours will NOT be cheap. Sounds like she should probably be placed in a Nursing home.
