Silver flashes when I blink

I see a silver flash when I blink my eyes on my right side like a semi-circle shape... basically it looks like this  (  ...  It only happens when I blink, and not every time, maybe 80%of the time. I have also become very sensitive to sunlight.  I went to the Opthamologist but I cant help thinking they missed something because they said they didnt see anything. This has been going on for a few weeks now. I am quite concerned. I am used to migraines, however, my auras never last for weeks.. usually hours...and I havent had any more than usual headaches. I am going through early menopause and am currently experiencing a large amount of Hot Flashes, and I am also Hypoglycemic. I wasn't sure if these issues could be the cause of concern but thought I should mention them. I am 40 yrs old.

thank you for your help. I have floaters as well, they are completely different than this silver-ish streak i see when i close my eyes. It takes up a large part of my field of vision to the right of my nose and shaped like ( . Its almost like something is putting pressure somewhere when i blink....  like when u press on your eyeball....

Hi there,
Do you think that they may be floaters. I got that when I was in my 20s. Your supposed to get it when your in 40-50s. Try to look at a white surface or the sky. When you see it close your eyes and move them to the complete right or left side. Open your eyes again. Did it move out of your vision. If it moves I beleive you have floaters. My eye specialist told me I had them. Nothing to worry about. They will always be there now. Not harmfull at all.  Just annoying. You can call your eye specialist and ask them if it's floaters, they usually see it at an eye exam.  Good luck .Smileyhappy.
