Trouble eating certain foods/drinks

Hey, ever since I was a little kid I've been unable to swallow foods without vomiting them back up, the only foods that seem to cause this are vegetables/fruits, I can still eat some vegetables and fruits but most of them make me vomit.

also I am unable to drink water, I don't think I've had a straight glass of water since I was 10 and I'm 18 now.
It hasn't cause any problems yet that I'm aware of, not really sure what could be causing this?

It could be psychological associations with those items, it could be a physical thing (a gag reflex that comes from an unusual esophagus shape or something) or it could be that you just need to try different preparations of those items.  Hard to judge which, but I'd talk to a doctor in case the problem is physical.

At some point did you eat something (like the veggies or fruit, similar texture) while ill and you vomited it back up? It's amazing how our bodies can develop aversions to food if eaten while sick. I couldn't eat oreos for 10 years after I threw up some immediately after eating them, it was by chance I has caught the flu and during its onset I ate oreos. To this day the smell of paper bags make my stomach churn because I associate them with vomiting.  My family would line paper bags with garbage bags and that would be next to my bed while sick, so every time I heaved I would stick my head in a paper bag. Ugh.

That or it's just triggering your gag reflex, if it is happening while they are raw, try having them well cooked or canned for fruit.

Still if you can't eat vegetables or fruit you can run a serious risk of malnutrition over time,  would see a doctor and talk to them about it.
