strange bruise down arm

.Hi. I had a strange bruise on my arm for about a week. It began in my armpit and ran all the way down my arm to mid-forearm. It was approx. 1 inch in width. Since the bruising is gone I now see that I have what looks like a 'cord' under the skin, in my armpit, that is visable, that wasn't there before. It is tender to touch, and feels like a cord or tendon.
I was at the gym doing an arm/chest workout the day before all this started.  Maybe I pulled or ruptured something ?? My arm has been quite sore from this, but is improving. Should I still get checked out ??

I think it's best you get it checked out it's better to find out so it eases your concerns.

I think you could have pulled something in your arm, but it will take a couple of weeks or so for it to recover.

it sounds like Axillary Web Syndrome/Cording, if it is it should go away but I think you should have it checked by your doctor.
