Hiv axiety (can i relax for 100 % or is there a chance?)

Hey Joggen and other moderators,

Last week i fingered a girl who whas really whet and i think ive have touched my penis head after a couple of seconds. Ive read my reply on the community and from you ("The Biology of Why "No Risk" Means "No Risk"- Please Read")

I really want to believe it but what worries me is that on your text says hand genital contact is not a risk:"Because large amounts of the causative bacteria or viruses must have direct access to susceptible tissues, which typically are deep inside " In my case my hand whas really really whet and then i toucht my penis so there where large amounts of vaginal fluids on my hands. I really cant see the difference with normal vaginal sex because there is also an exchange of vaginal fluids.

So can you tell me what is the main difference in my case and normal vaginal sex. My fear is al littble bit less because the women took a hiv test last week and it whas ok, but now i am stressing that she got many unprotecten encounters for the last months.

Thanks in advance...

Gert

It makes no difference whatsoever. Stop thinking- you were never at risk.

I have no idea is that would work. I would recommend trying a professional therapist first.

HIV transmission requires a perfect set of conditions that is absent outside of the host (the human body). For one thing, the temperature on the surface of your hand is much cooler than inside the body. Also, exposure to air damages the virus. HIV is fragile virus that is very difficult to transmit: under perfect conditions, only 1 in 1000 vaginal exposures result in transmission.

When you take the virus outside of its host environment, it is damaged and can no longer infect. That is why direct inoculation inside the body is required, and under vigorous conditions where infectious fluids are massaged deep into suspectible tissues. Just touching a surface isn't enough to infect someone.

Surely you can understand on an intellectual level these differences between "normal sex" and hand-genital contact.

Thanks for the comment. In november i was scared that i got hiv from a cut in my finger but now i see thats not a risk. My problem now is really that i cant accept that vaginal fluids outside the body are non infectious because i cant see the difference between normal sex and touching your penis with my hand that is covered with lots of vaginal fluids.

I understand that you cant repeat your answer over and over again but i just want to knwo what can i do to believe the no risk messages.

Many thanks from Germany!

Transmission does not occur outside of the body. Vaginal fluids are only a risk if the penis is exposed inside the vaginal canal. HIV does not survive outside of the body, this vaginal fluids outside of the body are non-infectious.. And the skin of the finger is not susceptible to HIV transmission, so fingering is no risk also.
