Testing negative / feeling sick

Tested negative @ 28, 42, 65, 69, 79, days with a lot of tests.

I still feel sick, lymph nodes in my groin and well pretty much all over my body have been sore. The groin nodes are still inflamed ANC have been for 9 weeks. 79 days negative must be a really good sign but I still feel sick. I'm losing my mind here. Do I need to start looking into other diseases? Help

Just curious how accurate is a test after 40 days?  I feel like I am loosing my mind here.  I used a condom but for whatever reason I still feel faint symtpoms and I am not sure if it is just that the test was a false negative or if I am just going through some anxiety.

I too took the test 40 days after.  I had sex with a condom but fear the worst.  Am going back for another test.  I still feel ill.  Dry spot in throat and random pains around jaw and head

Just got more results.

Viral load test undetectable :-)

Waiting on NAAT RNA test  sure it will be negative.

I can't live my life in fear. I still feel aweful but it's not like it is going to help anything by worrying my life away. Anxiety itself can give you all the symptoms of HIV.  I dont think I have HIV anymore. I caught a virus that is running it's couse. There are a lot of viruses that are passed sexually. Some are very nasty but not like HIV.

i.e.
HTLV type 1&2
HHV6
Brucila
TB
Granuloma ingual ( don't have the spelling)
The Barona Virus

Keep working with your doctors like I did. I have something but it's not life threatening. Good luck

And.....

Go buy some good condoms and have lots of safe sex. Have a smoothie and be good to your selves. That's what I am trying and I think it's working for me.

this wasnt on a forum. Two doctors told me to retest at the 6 month mark. One was a HIV specialist and my gp. The axioty is killing me along with my bad stomach, lack of appatite and some other isses I have going on. Could all these symptoms be from my anxioty? So far all my test point to -iv i. hope it stays that way. But I am so scared that I will be one of the people that takes longer to convert. How are the ones that take longer anyway. Has anyone actualy heard from someone that took longer than 3 months to conver of was -iv at 3 months and than without having any sexual encounters test +iv at 6 months? Thanks everyone.

From my experience on these forums, many so-called 'professionals' don't bother to keep up with the latest information.

"The Hiv specialest I went to for some of the tests said I should retest at the 6 month mark. So after a neg test a 4 months he tells me that so I continue to wait and freak out."

Your doctor is wrong- the window period is three months. You don't need any additional testing. You don't have HIV.

Been_there I too been tested 7 times out to 4 months and I still feel sick in my stomach. I have acid reflux and no appatite. I have lost over 12 lbs since December 17th. I had bad breakout of foliculitus on my back that was from yeast. I also had diahhrria on and off thhrough the months but it coulda been from some new meds the Dr put me on for acid reflux. I have had many othe symptoms too and was told cant judge by symptoms just a test. But the thing that gets me is the gf also has been getting the pimples and a couple of brown and redish bloches on her skin so it freaks me out too.  I have had antibody tests, DNA PCR test, and rapid tests. All were negative but i continure to feel sick. The Hiv specialest I went to for some of the tests said I should retest at the 6 month mark. So after a neg test a 4 months he tells me that so I continue to wait and freak out. I have been going to counceling and trying to move on but I cant seem to either. I think I will go get a full std profile done cause maybe I caught hepatitis or something. Who knows. But from reading this forum I see I am not alone. I hope we all are able to get over this soon. Good luck
