PULLING HAIR OUT!!!!!!

Female here. 2 weeks ago my gay roommate and friends had a party. I ended up talking to a guy there who confessed to being bi.  After several drinks, we ended up hooking up. We kissed, and I gave unprotected BJ to him. After tasting ejaculation in mouth, I stopped. Week later I started feeling little sick with headache and now high fever that will not stop. I wake up with cold sweats nearly every night pulling my hair out. I have asked my roommate how well he knows sexual history of friend. He said he "is a ****" in his words and told story of being a regular to certain transgendered escorts, but has only known him a short time.  My roommate laughs at me for hooking up with this guy and I would not really worry but I know for sure I had a HUGE cold sore under bottom lip that obviously was not gushing blood, but was open and exposed at the time I performed the act. Going online to sites does not help AT ALL. Most sites would make anybody nervous I guess. Found this site and tried to post to doctor, but will not let me post, will try forum for now. Literally pulling my hair out over this. I have another guy I have a normal sexual relationship (normally monogomous) with and am afraid to have sex..although had sex the next day of this encounter...feeling guilty now that I gave it to him now.

william is a troll here, never mind him.

As you've been told by others, oral sex is too low a risk to worry about.  You would have to be the unluckiest person in the world to contract HIV by giving a blowjob.  You're fine.

What williamnj? You mean there is a 5-10%. Are you posting to the right person here. I was "possibly" exposed 2 weeks ago and have not had any tests. Not sure about the WB test comment. Not sure what to make of this comment in general. Please clarify.

Symptoms mean nothing. If you read a few posts, you'll see that virtually everyone here has every symptom on earth.  And they are negative.

If your only concern is a BJ, you didn't get HIV.  Cold sore or not.

Whatever is causing your symptoms has nothing to do with giving the guy head. You were not at risk of contracting HIV.

Thanks, I would not worry about it if I did not have symptoms and I keep going back in my mind looking at that stupid cold sore thinking that somehow semen got into that thing...and the fact that my roommate will not stop joking about it with me...obviouly he knows how worried I am and probably for no reason, but still, like most in this forum, I am worried and looking for comfort...and education to find it. Thanks..anyone else to add to it would help. Thanks again!

Blow Job No Risk! If you are going to freak out about these type of encounters, maybe it is best you get to know your person well before doing these things. Not nagging you, but it just seems you have a lot of guilt not just from the hiv scare but with being with someone so spontaneous. You can relax and keep practicing safe sex and don't pull your hair out!!!!

I would like to help, but I'm not a doctor.  It can't really be VIH since a BBJ is very low risk.  But the cold sore might be more related with herpes.  Well I'm not sure, go see a doctor. Good luck!
