My opinion is that Dr. Handsfield is a very experienced and knowledgable professional who has specialized in HIV and seen thousands of patients since the inception of the epidemic over 25 years ago, so if he says that 3 months is conclusive, that's more than good enough for me.
Does he said that ? I can not see it.
Just use the search link in the HIV Prevention Forum and search for "Time to positive HIV Test." The doctor has said many, many times that a 3 month result is undeniably conclusive.
13 weeks is conclusive. Period.
Do you gusy have any coments on RT-PCR test????
Pretty much the whole world (except for my stupid country) says 13 weeks is conclusive.
OrionQuest, where are u from???
3 months is 3 months weather it is 12 weeks or 13 weeks.
TEAK, I didn't understand! What you mean?
The U.S. uses 13 weeks to = 3 months. All others use 12 weeks.
is it mean there is no difference between 12 and 13 weeks?
Teak, who's the 3% that don't test positive within the first 3 months?
people who dont sero convert within 3 months are people who are immuno compromised or have an underlying disease like autoimmune diseases , renal patients...
