high risk (Teal, Regularjoey)

Hi there,
I am from china
After an insertive anal sex with a guy, I learnt that he is hiv positive.
I am circumcisied.
The sex lasted 2 minutes or less.
I am not a drug user or cancer or have immune system problem.
I did not use PEP.
That was the last sexual encounter for me.
My 15 weeks test is negative. Do I need to take test at 6 months? This period of waiting is killing me, but I will do what you advise.
Thnak you all

You're negative. You don't need to test out to 6 months.

Dr.Bob has a conservative "better-safe-than-sorry" approach and he follows the CDC guidelines to the letter.
The important part is that these days everyone that comes back for a 6-monther tests negative, so most people do not consider it warranted anymore.

As far as liability etc. - I don't know.  I don't think anybody could sue Dr.Bob even if they tested positive after 3 months.  There is no way to prove that you didn't have additional exposures in the meantime, so that lawsuit would go out the window anyway...

Dr Bob although very good runs a large organization. he will follow the strick CDC guidlines all the time. He would be foolish not to given his organizations ties with many companiews and the tax credits etc. It all about liability and $$. Nothing wrong with that but that's how it is.

Thank you.
I was thinking like you but here is the post of Dr. Bob from thebody.com
Question: Hello, First I would like to thank you forthis site. I am a gay 35 yo male. A afew nights ago I had unprotected sex with another man in which I was the insertive partner. I am circumsized. A few hours afterwards, I learned that he was most likely positive.
Answer. At this point you are doing everything you can and should be doing. My advice is to stay calm, get tested per the recommended guidelines (three months after the exposure and, if that's negative, again at six months) and learn from your mistake so that you'll never have to go through this again

What is that now? I trust Dr.Bob su much. But this????

You're fine, no need to test again.  Be safe in the future.

As from what i gained knowledge--12/13 weeks is 100% conclusive. There is no harm in testing at 6 months but sure to be negative.
