Drunkeness = stupidity on my part

Hello, just under three weeks ago I had an encounter with a male friend when drunk. We did vaginal and anal, he pulled out then ejaculated on my back. He then reentered me both anally and vaginally. I had a test at 11 days and am waiting for the result, I was wondering what would the value be of a test after three weeks, as I am unable to sleep convincing myself that I have HIV and that I am going to spread it to my regular partner.  I know this was VERY risky, especially considering the guy is bisexual and extremely promiscuous, I would just like to get some sort of test ASAP at least to give me an idea... any help much appreciated, thank you very much.

What Peek said !

I'd also like to suggest you to get tested at the 6 th week, 6 week's negative result changing ahead is highly unlikely and very unheard of, make sure you back that up with a final test at the 12 weeks

Wishing you luck

Mike

Unprotected vaginal and anal sex with a bisexual partner is concerning, and you will need a test at 12 weeks to be completely safe.  A test now will go a long ways towards reassuring you, but it is by no means conclusive.

"it's rare and not even very transmissible" are you referring to hiv? Sometimes I wonder if hiv is not mostly hype not saying it does not exsist but just not as they, the man if you will,(cdc, the gov., and people in the education system) say that it does. Just out of curiosity do you know anyone with hiv or aids? Do you live in a area where the statistics are or should be higher for hiv? I am married and I really think that I am convincing myself of hiv b/c of my own guilt. We all make mistakes and nobody is perfect but no one deserves hiv. I just think guilt can do weird things to your mind and body.

i'd be happy if it was okay at ten weeks! It's rare and not even very transmissible.

I was dupped by an older man I had unprotected sex with him twice just vaganal. He says he is clean of all stds I tested 10 weeks 2 days after the last time with him. It was negative and I am not sure if I can be good with that or not although everything I read pretty much says I can. I am still thinking of doing another test just for prace of mind. If I were you I would wait at least 4 weeks post exposure to test from what I have read the longer you wait the more reliable the results. I have read sooooo much on hiv I am begining to sound like I know what I am talking about.LOL I tested with the oraquick. It looks for anti-bodies to the hiv. What do you think about a 10 week negative? I live in a rural area and don't even know anyone with hiv. The hiv/aids counsler told me there were 61 cases in my county.

I have known him  for a while, he was more of a drinking buddy than a good friend though. He claims to have tested negative in December and have used condoms since, though i am not sure how much a believe this as he didn't care at all about using one with me.   I would like to get tested after three weeks to see what it says, but I am not sure of the value of doing this. I know 11 days isn't enough, I just did it at the same time as all the other STD tests. What is your situation?

I hate to hear of your situation, I am kind of in the same boat.I don't think 11 days is enough time. What kind of test was it? How long have you known this freind?
