PLEASE I NEED HELP

my wife to be cheated  on me with another guy last December our marriage is 15th of next month yesterday she was diagnosed with HIV 1 and 2 positive. Is that possible because she had not had sex since October 2008 until last year when she cheated on me. though it has been confirmed that the guy has the virus but i still find it not possible for her to be this infected because this is only just 7 weeks after the incident.
i believe that result is false or what do you think?

Only 7 weeks?? this time frame is more than enough for most people to test positive...one time exposure is considered a risk as well as you have mentioned that she refrained from any sexual activity till last december..there is a possibility..if she tested pos run the required confirmatory test like a western blot for confirmation..until confirmed she isn't poz!

All positive tests have to be confirmed by a Western Blot or a comparable approved test to confirm positive results.

Ideally the hiv test should give a results after 4-6 weeks after exposure. Has there been a confirmatory test (western blot) done?
