Hey :) I'll try to keep this as compact and composed as I can.
Had a one time unprotected vaginal intercourse and acquired chlamydia.
Myself and my partner we're treated.
We then proceeded to get blood tests to ensure nothing further was wrong.
My partner got tested for Hep B ,Syph and HIV. They came back negative BUT the HIV had to be re-done because they said they labeled that paticular sample incorrectly.
They said it had nothing to do with her blood. She got retested and it came back negative.
Her potential exposer was 7 months when she got tested.
With only being really concerend with HIV, as many people are, I got a blood test as well but just for HIV. My test was at 8...say 9 weeks. It as well came back negative.
I am still skeptical however because I think, they botched the first test..could they repeat that mistake for a negative result? Again the tests were at 7 months for her and 9 weeks for me. If I DID acquire it, it would have been from her. I haven't had many sexual partners...I've been pretty smart until this time around.
How strict and accurate are the labortories themselves? Does this sound like there would be a possibility for a positive result if we were to re-test? Do you think it would be nessecary to do so?
