kissing and rimmed with blood, I am terrified and panicking

Hi all, thanks for taking the time to help and offer advices.

First of all, I am a gay male.

(1). On 02/23/17, I met up with a stranger online. That day, he had just had his 4 wisdom teeth taken out, so his mouth was definitely actively bleeding, I could see. We made out. I kissed (touched his lip, no french kissing) him on the lip many times and at one point I used my tongue to lick his lips. His lips were closed the whole time. Afterwards, I saw that the inner side of his lips, there were blood. So I am worried now that I might have licked or touched his blood during kissing him or licking his lips. If so, was I at risk for contracting HIV? (I did not taste any blood while kissing or licking his lips)

(2). On 03/01/17, I met up with the same guy. He told me that his gum is not bleeding anymore, but I doubt it since it has only been like 4-5days post his wisdom teeth extraction. So this time, I did not kiss him or anything. However, he did rim me for like 5-10 minutes. Now I am afraid if his gum was still bleeding and while he was rimming me, his blood in combination of saliva could penetrate my anal mucous membrane and cause an infection?

*note: The stranger told me that he is currently on PrEp because his partner is HIV positive and they are in an open relationship.

Does anybody think I have a case here to worry? I have been worried sick since yesterday :( and i have to wait for at least 4 more weeks to get tested, its gonna be so torturing :(. Any input would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!!!

Kissing is not a risk for HIV even with bleeding as there are enzymes and bacteria in human saliva which renders the virus inactive. (Unable to infect)

When you hooked up with him the second time, it is most likely his extractions HAD stopped bleeding. Also, the fact he is on PrEp lowers the risk substantially.

My assessment is that you had no risk.

If your anxiety does not abate, speak with a counselor at your local HIV clinic, but I believe they will concur that you had no risk.

We do NOT judge people or their behavior on this forum, but online hookups can be risky. You only have this strangers word that he is on PrEp. For your safety, always use a condom. Always play safe.

Thank you!!  I saw his medication bottle Truvada, so i think he is definitely taking PrEP. And i didn't engage oral or anal sex with him so normally i wouldnt be worried with the abovementioned behaviors, but his recent dental work really complicated the matter and made me very worried.
Since both AnxiousNoMore and I agree that you had no risk and you saw his PrEP meds, you can rest assured you had no risk.
THANK YOU! i just have to keep telling myself that! and let the rational side of me taking over instead of the panicking and emotional side!

Good news, you have zero risk for HIV. You would be wasting your time testing for something you can't get.

HIV is inactivated in saliva and air which means it can't infect from oral which includes kissing. So those are 2 reasons you had zero risk. Double zero risk.
No one in 40 years of history got HIV from oral.  Even with blood, lactation cuts, rashes, burns etc saliva and air do not allow inactivated virus to infect, so you had zero risk.

Thank you! even with blood present? blood is very contagious when it comes to HIV i read !
Kissing and oral sex are NOT risks for HIV. There are only three ways you can contract HIV...........

1) UNPROTECTED INSERTIVE ANAL/VAGINAL SEX WITH AN HIV+ PARTNER

2) SHARING DRUG WORKS (IV NEEDLES) WITH AN HIV+ PERSON

3) AN HIV+ WOMAN TO HER UNBORN CHILD

HIV is a very fragile virus and is much more difficult to contract than most people realize.
PLEASE RELAX! You do NOT have HIV!

woaidelrey  Reread what I wrote over and over until the full meaning of the last sentence  is clear, instead of rephrasing your question about blood for no useful purpose.
