When I last tested it had been 5 weeks since having protected sex with him it was a rna test..

The last time I got tested it was 5 weeks from my last protected sex I'm just scared the condom broke if it did would my test have picked it up? I'm seeming to be confusing and yes it was a rna.. I'm just really gassy and poopping alot.. And I'm dizzy and my vision is blurry eyes can't focus

I guess what I'm asking is if the condom broke and I didn't know would my 5.5 week rna test would have picked it up?

Oh yeah, you've already tested. You do NOT have HIV

Your test would've most likely picked it up. However, RNA tests aren't used for diagnostic purposes. Take a DUO test.

If I had a risk when I tested at 5 weeks would the rna test would have picked it up? Sorry I'm just feeling jittery, woozy and shaky also vision problems and can't remember stuff could it be signs of hiv? He said the condom didn't break but I don't trust him since he said it's broke before and didn't tell me

I'm pretty sure I answered this question already, but, sure, I'll play.

You just said the last time you had sex was April 18th and you tested on June 1.

If you did a 4th generation DUO test 28 days post your last exposure, the results would be conclusive.

If the test you took on June 1st was negative, YOU DO NOT HAVE HIV.

It wouldn't matter how many broken condoms or how much unprotected sex you had PRIOR to your last sexual encounter on April 18th.

YOU EITHER HAVE HIV OR YOU DON'T. YOU DON'T.

I trust we are understanding each other now?

I'm sorry I'm confusing the both of us.. I've tested out to 7 months.. Somewhere in between me testing the condom broke I don't know when.. But last time I got tested was 5 weeks from my protected sex and I asked him if the condom broke he said no

Last sex was april 18th tested at june 1st should I test since I don't know when the condom broke before that?

True. But you're saying that at SOME POINT you had sex and the condom broke but you're not sure when that was. A broken condom equals unprotected sex and if you did not test AFTER the broken condom incident, then you still don't know your status.

Perhaps we are misunderstanding each other. IF you tested AFTER the condom broke and your results were negative and you've not had a risk since then, then what is your question?

If it's been 3 months since the last time you had sex, test now. You could have tested at 28 days post your last exposure for a conclusive result.
