Oral Sex/HIV (burn in mouth)

I recently had unprotected oral sex with a sex worker.  I had condom protected vaginal intercourse.  The night before the encounter, I received a burn inside my mouth from eating pizza.  Not sure if this is anything to worry about or not?

Can anyone tell me if I have anything to worry about in terms of contacting HIV or any other STD?  Thank you for taking the time to read my post.

Hi there,

I just got my HIV and STD results back last week. They were all negative and I am so happy to hear this news! The nurse even told me that there was a better chance of getting hit by a bus after I left her office than to get HIV from the situation I described a few months back. Thanks again for your support!

It is confusing, just like many things associated with Hiv but if we stick to the facts and respect what the expert doctors forum has to say then i think it becomes very clear that oral sex is a zero risk activity fro Hiv transmission which ever way you look at it and under any circumstance--giver or receiver. The majority of Hiv expert would agree that it's zero risk.

Thank you for replying to my post!  When you mention zero risk, are you referring to her giving me oral sex or me giving her oral sex or a combination of both?

I had a small, mouth burn when I went down on her.  She also gave me oral sex without a condom.  Do I still have anything to worry about here?  There are some sites out there that say that oral sex can transmit hiv, but according to many experts on the Medhelp forums, there is zero to very little risk.  It is all so confusing I guess.

Thanks again for taking the time to read my post and for helping out!

Zero risk from oral sex and your penetrative sex was protected. You never had a risk and no testing is required.Testing for other STD,s is your choise but it's highly unlikely you contracted anything from your situation.
