My friend, you are the most HIV guy I have ever know.
Sorry, I mean you are the most negative HIV guy I have ever known
Thanks! How about my question number 3? I read that false negatives happen more than false positives which makes me nervous.
You shouldn't be worry about your second test, you had another test after it which confirms that you are negative.
I.e if my second test was actually a false positive would my hospital test trump this? I really believe during the 20-40 minute window when the test was valid for the second at home test I didn't see a line, but seeing it there hours later makes me doubt my vision.
No need to doubt anything, maybe the test after you throw it in the trash lost its accuracy after few hours. Anyway this is not important anymore after the ER testing.
You are HIV negative.
Reading this I realize I sound crazy (the dr thought so too)
Anybody have any technical info/statistics on my questions?
Your tests are conclusive.
Thanks, meaning my last test at the ER?
Meaning any test you took.
Well that's worrying as I'm not sure if the second one was positive or negative, so I'm curious if the final ER one is definitive and I can move on. Is it realistic to think 4 years post exposure a hospital blood rapid test could give a false negative?
I will respect your final answer/explanation and will end this post
