Hi All,
So I had a quick question regarding a situation I just found myself in. I've always practiced safe sex and have always been a bit of a germaphobe. Anyway, I'll get right to the point. Last night, I found myself at a bar and was talking to a woman who was very much into me. We had both been drinking heavily and when I went to use the restroom, she followed me into the back corridor where the bathrooms were and we started to make out. Tongue, the whole nine yards. The entire kiss lasted for literally about 10 seconds. After she and I had done that, I went back out and one of her friends basically told me that I wasn't the first guy with whom she's done something like that. Given that information, I can only assume she wasn't the cleanest. Regardless, nothing other than that kiss happened (e.g., no sex, no oral, nothing).
After I woke up this morning, I went to brush my teeth and noticed that my gum lines had some cuts and were a little bloody. I don't know what it was from however, (and maybe I'm thinking too much into it), but I couldn't help but think that if this woman did indeed have something like HIV, that if she and I kissed like we did and I had an open cut, couldn't I have contracted this disease? I don't know if she had an open cut too but I don't think so. I wasn't tasting blood or anything like that. Anyway, I'm really nervous because while I don't have a girlfriend, I am kinda seeing someone and wouldn't want to give anyone else something like HIV. Like I said, no sex, it was just a kiss, but there is a possibility my gums had cuts like they did last night when she and I kissed. Since we had been drinking, I can't recall if my gums were cut up last night but since they were this morning, I can only assume they were. It's really causing me a lot of stress right now and any insights into this would be helpful.
Thanks,
