In an adult, a positive HIV antibody test result means that the person is infected, a person with a negative or inconclusive result may be in the “window for 4 to 6 weeks but occasionally up to 3 months after HIV exposure. Persons at high risk who initially test negative should be retested 3 months after exposure to confirm results
You have concllusively tested negative.
High risk exposure is unprotected anal and vaginal sex and sharing works with other IV drug abusers.
So even though I was about a week or so off of the 6 month mark I am still ok
3 months post your last unprotected sex is conclusive. The guidelines were changed to 3 months in 2004.
So I'm negative for sure?
