hiv symptom means do you have antibodies produced?

If you have HIV symptoms (like flu or fever and etc) and after the symptoms show, if you go for antibody testing, will show positive? for hiv positives? even though, you go immediately after the symptoms? (2 days after the symptom)?

reason i am asking is, when are the antibodies produced? when you have the symptom or when the symptoms are gone?

Please advise
Mike

It does not delay it at all.

Now please move on from your no risk event.

Thanks for the response.. please can you answer one more question:

If you have HIV, antigens would be found in the body?

At the end of 6 months, if I go for a HIV AB/AG test and if the results are negative means...

There are not HIV related antibodies or antigens right?

3 months back, I have taken Flushot (I live is USA), does it delay in producing antibodies or antigens in the body?

Would it take more than 6 months for Antigens or Antibodies to develop?

Please advise.

Antibodies will be produced when the immune system mounts a response against the virus,if one has ARS symtoms they are seroconverting and the chances of testing positive on an HIV test are high because antibodies would have most likely have been produced, but remember that not all infected persons will have ARS symptoms.Again, this is why testing is so important at the correct time frame. This is information for educational purposes as you never had a risk in the first place.

If you have symptom, does it mean that you HIV antibodies in your body? Or when are the antibodies produced?

You were answered in your other thread. Go back and reread them. If you are concerned about your symptoms see your doctor, they have nothing to do with HIV.

I am having dry cough since a week (last tuesday) and went for HIV antibody testing and the result was negative (last saturday) - ORAAccuTest (for HIV1/2).

Still i am having dry cough, so worried. Please answer this question:

If you have symptom, does it mean that you HIV antibodies in your body? Or when are the antibodies produced.

If you answer this question, i will be much relieved.

mike.
