Blood in toilet

Hi,

I was at a public toilet today and was entering a cubicle, holding the door and about to close it, when I noticed that the bottom part of the seat was sprayed with blood ( the seat had been placed upright). I immediately went into another cubicle to pee as I was urgent. It was after peeing that I realised that I had not checked if the part of the door where I grasped had any blood stains on it. I am quite scared now that if there was blood and I had touched it, I might have transfered it to my penis when I was peeing in the other cubicle. Can anyone let me know if there was any risk of contracting HIV or any other STDs through this particular incident? Do I need to perform any testing with regards to this incident? I am sorry but I have been afraid of blood since young and this incident has just made me very worried.

No person has ever contracted HIV from a toilet seat or door handle & so you won't be the first. It's not history here at medhelp. You never had a risk.

hiv is transmitted through...
unprotected vaginal / anal intercourse
sharing iv drug works
mother to child

it is NOT transmitted from environmental surfaces or inanimate objects.

you had NO risk and do NOT need testing.

I did not purposely touch my pee hole. I might have touched it while trying to get my penis out of my zipper and underwear. And about noticing blood, I had mentioned that I was urgent and therefore did not think so much about checking my hands before peeing, otherwise I would have washed them before using the other cubicle. It was only after peeing that I realised that since there was blood on the toilet, some might have gotten onto the door, which I had not checked.

Blood can't go through your shoe.  HIV can't be transmitted by touching surfaces. You had ZERO risk of HIV.

Are you walking around in bare feet?

So blood from the door handle to your finger to the urine hole on your penis. Why are you touching that hole? And wouldn't you have noticed blood on your finger? On your penis?

HIV does not transmit outside of the body and it not transmitted from touching.

I am sorry, I forgot to ask another question, even if there was blood on the toilet floor and I had stepped on it it is not a risk as well right? And may I ask why is the scenario of blood from door frame to fingers and then to my pee hole not a risk considering that the blood might have been deposited there just before I entered the toilet? Thank you.
