HIV is unable to reproduce outside its living host (unlike many bacteria or fungi, which may do so under suitable conditions), except under laboratory conditions; therefore, it does not spread or maintain infectiousness outside its host.
I have one other question. I recently found out that my friend is 4mo ths pregnant and HIV positive. Well she spent the night over my house and one morning before getting my girls up for school I found a panytliner with caginal secretions on it next to my 3yro shoes. The pantyliner had no blood in it but it did have vaginal secretions on it. Im not sure if my daughter played with it touched it or anything. I don't know how long it had been there. Is it possible for my daughter to have been infected if she played with it or touched it. This is what has started me to thinking about HIV as of lately.
Thank you guys for your answers. The intercourse was unprotected but no anal and I have never pluses Iv drug needles. Thank u for the information it really eased my fears.
Lymph nodes mean nothing,It's very High fevers you have to be concerned about if one has had an exposure.I really can't give you percentages but I will say this,It's not an easy virus to contract unless you were engaged in high risk activities like sharing IV drug works or unprotected anal sex.Only testing will provide you with the answers you seek.
We can't guess the probablility of being positive.
No it is not node swelling in relation to HIV.
Hi. Thanks for your answer. I will get tested but what do you think are my probabilities for being positive? And could you address my questions about the lymph nodes. Hope to hear from you soon. Thanks
You need to test 3 months after your last sexual excounter,if it's already been 3 months then test now to know your status and do it for your daughters. All the best.
