HIV scare after back to back risky encounters

Hi,

Last sunday around noon, about 72+  hours ago, I had sex with a man.  We had mutual unprotected oral sex then he penetrated me with a condom.  He ejaculated on himself afterwards.  This seems risky to me because of the oral sex and also, I had some bleeding around the anus the day before.

Being completly drugged out, I moved to have sex with a female sex worker.  She wasnt on the street.  It was an escort agency in a house.  It lasted quite a while but with a condom.  Though at some she did kneeled on my face and I performed oral sex on her for a good five minutes.

These were my 'incidents'. The next morning, I woke up with an ulcer in the bottom of my mouth. Yesterday, I started having a loiw grade fever and felt really sluggish with zero appetite.  Had some diarrhea as well.  today, after a whopping 16 hours of sleep, I woke up with lymph nodes extremely swollen.  Now I'm running a jigh fever and I feel pretty bad.  Like on the brink of throwing up all the time.  The muscle pain is pretty intenese too.

What were my chances of contracting HIV in these encounters?  And my other question is, can ARS occur so early after exposure?  I read on ehow that fever, mnalaise and swollen lymph nodes happen within days.

Mind you, I felt like I was going to be sick before my encounters but nothing bad.  After my drug and alcohol binge, I didn't feel sick at all so this feels klike a brand new infection and I want to know if I should worry about HIV because I am...A LOT.

Thank you in advance for your help

I'm sorry, did not intend to break the rules.

While I posted this, my doctor called me to inform me that I have mononucleosis.  That settles it, I suppose.  Just a weird coincidence.

One last question though.  I will still get my routine STD check in a couple of weeks, including HIV.  Can mononucleosis produce a false positive?  Should I wait to be recovered?

Thank you, for the last time :-D

No I will not just assume to feed your no risk issues. NO RISK.

Look, not everyone agrees that oral sex is entirely risk free.  You do.  It's fine.  I'm not so convinced.

So just assume I had a high risk exposure and please answer me if a persistent sore throat is part of ARS.

Thank you

How can you have ARS and you've never had a risk? Move along.

I saw a doctor about my symptoms.  I've had tests made for mono and gonorrhea (throat).  She said I had irratation but not to worry about HIV.  Easy for her to say.  In the morning I feel perfectly fine, but at night, I quickly get back to feeling feverish and my sore throat just won't go away.

I never felt like this before.  And it coincides with my exposure.

All I want to know is ARS feels that way.

See a doctor about your symptoms, They ARE NOT DUE TO ARS

Most of your symptoms are probably from anxiety, You can take your questiond to the anxiety forum. We have assessed you as having NO RISK and that will not change. Your mind is making the symptoms seek help for that but dont worry about HIV.

Hope this helps - Kindly Move Along..

Sorry to revive this thread, but I've been having a sore throat for 14 days now.  No sign of it worsening or getting better.  Just a sore throat with occasional cold sweats and malaise.  Lots of fatigue.

What could this be?  Does ARS ressemble this?  It started a week after all my symptoms, and exposure.

Thank you

8 days later...I still haven't shook off the fever and fatigue.

At this point I just want to get a freakin test.

How early can I get a somewhat reliable test?  I read 15 days...is this accurate?

Oh I have reread them, believe me.  Like a mantra!

But anytime I get convinved it's all in my head, a new ARS symptom pops up to say 'hello, you just might have HIV, my friend'.

The runs, stomach cramps and general fatigue are particuarly troubling

Not to bother people but I can't seem to shake this off no matter how cool headed I try to be.

I have contacted the man and he reminded me that I carefully put the condom on him so at least that's out of the way but I still har receptive oral sex with both him and the sex worker and I quite possibly had an ulcer in the mouth.

And now, a week after the fever, swollen lymph nodes, persitent diarrhea, I am now experiencing extreme fatigue and stomach cramps.  I feel completly sluggish even though I am usually vvery active and sleep very little.  Now I sleep over 12 hrs a night with naps during the day.  My skin and scalp feel damp and tingle.  I can't swallow anything without cramps and my throat always feels sore.  A small walk makes my entire muscles hurt even though i train with weights regularly.

I want to think this isn't ARS but I keep getting knocked back to reality that it just might be.

This is wearing me down and my GF is staring to wonder WTH is wrong with me.

I'll get tested in 2 months but in thee meantime I could use some informed opinions.

Thank you for your time

I think medicin criteria of this forum about oral sex DO NOT agree your view

oral sex is considered a no risk activity and your assosiation:
amphetamine causing dry mouth and increasing oral risk factor are complet NON SENCE

NO RISK , Your symptoms are for sure not ARS

Him making the comment "Don't worry I didn't ejaculate in you".  is because he used a condom.

All right, I try no to think about this since people were pretty clear that this represents no danger, but 5 days later, I have this awful diarrhea and my lymph nodes are still insanely swollen.  I have no other flu symptoms...like a runny nose.  Just a sore throat, slight fever, very enlarged lymph nodes in the neck, muscle pain and now diarrhea.  Not to mention the mouth ulcer I had the next day.

I want not to worry, but every time I do, a new symptom pops up.  And now the guy I had sex with tells me "Don't worry I didn't ejaculate in you".  I remember him having a condom the whole time though with that statement, I'm not so sure anymore...I was very high after all.

All the symptoms are going away now, but is it too quick for ARS to occur?

I willl certainly get a test but I want to know if I should worry until then.  I try not too, but something always bring me back to ARS.

Those sources are wrong. HIV is not transmitted by oral sex. You truly do not need to know about symptoms and their time frame because you never had a risk for contracting HIV in the first place. However, I will tell you that NO ONE is going to experience ARS symptoms the day after having their "encounter." That is much too soon. You are worrying over nothing.

Well, some sources disagree with you.

Regardless, for my own personal information, how soon can symptoms occur?

There are a lot of different figures on the web.  I'd like to know which is reliable.

No I won't consider. HIV is not transmitted by oral sex.

Ok, but considering I did...what about ARS...can it settle that soon after a possible exposure?  Thank you.

You didn't have a risk of contracting HIV from oral sex.

I should add that I'm also because my throat qas really vulnerable...I snorted amphetamines all night (yeah, good idea) and it's'really harsh.  Had pain and a bleedy nose the next day.  I wonder if this makes more opportunity for hiv infections during oral sex.
