Urgent inquiry,

I had sex with a sex worker and after finishing I noticed red stain on the base of my pines and when I took off the condom I found 2 stains in it.. I think my condom slipped for small part as when I took it off it was on all my pines... I am positive my pines tip was covered . Does this pose a risk??
I had the event 2 hours ago so do I qualify for prophylaxis ?
Please help I am panicking

You would know if you had a lambskin condom, they look very very different.  You're "what iffing" yourself into an anxious mess!

One inquiry

I don't know wether the condom I used was latex or lambskin... But it had a reservoir tip and it was a French brand (Maxin) as I can remember and the type was  (regular)... I never saw a lambskin condom but I knew it doesn't protect from STDs.. I hear that they don't have reservoir tips is that right ?

Dear all,

After having days of anxiety and depression, tachycardia and high pulse rate... Hypotension and sweating .. Headaches I went for elisa 3rd generation HIV HCV and HBV and all came negative... Suddenly all symptoms went away in a minute ..)) I bursted into tears and was ashamed of what I have done... Now I know I had horrible anxiety attach... Like you said nurse 6572

My last question:
If these symptoms where related to hiv would the elisa be positive after 15 days? I know window period is 3 months but just if symptoms appear would they make elisa positive?
I will visit a specialist to work on my anxiety ... Wish me luck

It's really time to move along.  We are just keep repeating ourselves at this point.  This being just about the busiest forum on MH is why there are rules about excessive posting.  

I understand that the anxiety is difficult, which is why I always recommend addressing that.  If we reassured every anxious person over and over that posted here, we would never get the same few threads off the first page.

i think James was just making a correction and cursing the unpredictable predictive text on his ipad. Chlamydia can be tranferred skin to skin, HIV needs fresh fluid to mucous membrane - a big difference.

Flamin predictive text - that was meant to say transmitted even with Condoms on

Chlamydia is a bacterial infection and is sore ah even with Condoms being used.

Can the blood on the penis base have did this?... But how ??.. The mode of chlamydia transmission is the same as HIV only the frequency is more??

Can you just explain how did I get chlamydia although I used condom and it didn't break.. Only 3-4 mm of my penis base was exposed?
I know it doesn't spread through skin to skin contact and I didn't do any oral sex..
P.s. I didn't have sex for the whole last year

Hi buddy..

Well bad luck on that - it does not affect your HIV status though - still no risk!

Not to preach but keep away from sex workers and always use a Condom!

Obviously, if getting the chlamydia was relevant, I would have mentioned it.  Chlamydia is a very easy to transmit bacterial STD....apples and oranges.

You didn't have a risk.  The point of entry for the virus for a man is the urethra, hence why if the head of the penis remains covered throughout the duration of the intercourse, you're protected.

Being exposed to a partner's bodily fluids during sex, even with the presence of cuts, scrapes....does not present a risk.  If you continue to struggle to accept this, then you'll need to seek help from a mental health professional.  There's nothing more we can tell you.

I guess you are right... It's anxiety taking over ... I know you study the information you give so hard and it's your job to protect us through your knowledge and to protect other people we meet ... So even if I decided to go through a relationship and do it unprotected with a clean tested girl you are sure I will not hurt her as I am clean?
This exposure with this CSW for 2 times was my only... Stupid bachelor party ...
