Please I need answers from all the members

Dear Drs,

I am from Lebanon, an Arabic country where people infected with HIV are only a low percentage (5% infected people). I have had an oral sex with one woman (she gave me a blowjob) for maybe around 10-20 seconds only, and I did ejaculate. She was pregnant and suppose to deliver the following week. I am not sexually active at all so we can say this is my first encounter with a female. I did not experience any symptoms. After 9 weeks, I had an HIV 1 and HIV 2 blood test, I am not sure what type of test they performed but it took them 3 days to give back the result. The result was negative.

My question is:1-  Do I have to repeat my test again after 12 weeks and than after 6 months ?

2- Is my test conclusive ?

3 - Can I go on with my life and focus on my work, because now it is week 10 after encounter and I am going crazy about this issue.

Best Regards.

i didnt answer regards to your risk , as u had been answered for  it  , u have no risk ... i answer to support the given answer , those number tell u that hiv is not any easy virus to pass if the oral sex was real risk , then the number will higher .. i guess because alot more unprotected oral sex is practice then the unprotected sex ..

U had not risk and your test result proof that
believe what we answer or get retest its up to ...
as per me no more test is required ...
and one more thing 87% of male are infected in your region ....

Why worry when you had no exposure? 3 months is standard window period but practically the tests start getting conclusive after 6 weeks. If the test was 4th gen duo test then its conclusive after 4 weeks This is all I could help you with. All the best.

I don't understand how your statistics will answer my question, the debate is not about numbers, it is about three asked questions to be answered.

5% of people infection of hiv in Lebanon , i dont think so man the percentage to wards lower side , its 0.1 % as per 2009 report and over 80% of infected are male ...
u need to get the information corrects ,
In global 15-49 age group there are 0.8% of people on infected with hiv and in Africa its one every 20 people living with hiv , which counts up to 69% of hiv infected in the world ,

5% is not low percenage and to your question no risk and u had tested negative too ..

Hi,

Firstly you never had any exposure to test for HIV. Oral sex is not a concern for HIV infection. It took long for them because the testing center and the lab must be located at a distance meaning they collect blood at one center and then send it to the lab which is located away from the collection center.
Since you have tested and asked three questions, plz find below the answers for your queries.
1- No
2- Yes
3- Yes

Regards,
Nikhil
