Condom break

Hello,
I was in Lagos. Nigeria, West Africa, and I was having sex with a sex worker I met at a night club when the condom broke out. I pulled out right away. That was at around 12.30 in the night. I went to a hospital the first thing next morning and got started on PEP, consisting of Combivir, by around 3 o'clock in the afternoon, due to delays in the hopsital. I noticed what appears to be a mild sore throat 2 weeks later. Should I be scared?

Thank you for your reply. Well, the doctors don't know her status and I have been trying to talk her into going for a test because we've known each other for a while. She was a sex worker however, and that must have prompted the doctor to administer nPEP.

No, symptoms don't come on that quick. Why are you on nPEP? Was the person you had sex with HIV positive?
