I'm sorry you are going through this. YOU are negative. You did NOT give her HIV. Your partner that you had the sexual situation with also is negative. Your wife's situation is not because of you! That's kind of hard to swallow especially since you probably have some residual guilt and this implies that your wife has a situation outside of you that she is not disclosing if she does indeed become HIV positive. So, you need to accept that. YOU are hiv negative. The results she's gotten are inconsistent. Reactive, negative and indeterminate. That sure is confusing and is not yet enough to diagnose her as HIV positive. What is the next step for you all to get a definite answer regarding this? That's what you need to do now. Forget your exposure. You are negative as is the other person. Now you just need to help your wife.
I agree with the advice given by GuitarRox. Your colleague tested conclusively negative, as did you. You could not have given HIV to your wife.
False positives can happen, although with multiple reactive tests, that is less likely (unless your wife has an autoimmune disease). Has she been scheduled to take an RNA PCR test?
Yes madam, she has already given the test. Report will come in day or two.
On 27.03.2021 after Indeterminate WB results, the Hospital people told us they carried out Viral Load Test in which they got nothing but they didn't gave us report and said it might be due to initial stage of infection.
One thing I want to reiterate that she is really honest and didn't have any sexual partner other than me. She didn't have any instance of any blood transfusion.
She does have some allergic conditions, and her IgE value always remain very high.
"Your colleague tested conclusively negative, as did you. You could not have given HIV to your wife."
Just now her HIV-1 RNA PCR test result came and it reads "NOT DETECTED".
We live in India so we shouldn't be concerned about HIV-2.
We will try to find out why her Antibody test were reactive repeatedly.
Shall we come ot of this HIV fear now.
