i'm not an expert, but your case is not risky , it was protected , therefore and from reading semilar answers were given,by experts in this forum such as teak ,joggen,lizze,kumar... to other people who had protected sex , "you never had an exposure , so no need for testing , but you did tested at 8 weeks , which is good and hope is reassuring for you.
At 8 weeks the tests are virtually 100% accurate. Expect your 12 week test to be negative. Trust the doctors and stop looking for information that will just fuel your anxiety.
I appreciate your response. My exposure is hetero with unknown status female. Vigorous protracted oral/vaginal sex. She is accessible and claims neg status, but you never know.
