Worry

Dr, Thanks

My case is that I made love with a prostitute last last Thursday afternoon. Most of the time was oral sex. And there was 20 seconds insertion to her vagina. All the time I wore condom. Despite no visual impairment on the condom, I am not sure about the quality of the condom as it is made by mainland china. And I have no information about the prostitute. The case happened in Hong Kong and the prosititue was a chinese. The prosititute said she was having a fever for the time being. After that, I started having pep on Friday afternoon. But after that, some other doctors said I should not have needed to take pep.
My questions are
1. Am I at risk of getting HIV?
2. if the condom has unnoticeable tiny holes, will it be a concern?
3. Do I need to take a blood test?
4. Indeed the insertion into the vagina is less then 20 seconds, any effect over it?
5. Do I need pep, though I have taken it for two weeks?

Thanks

Sorry, one more question as I am very very worried.

If I go to do a blood test, as I am on pep, when should I do it for a conclusive test?
What is the percentage of getting negative in my case, as I am very very scared for the test?

Thank you heartily, grateful for your reply again and again. I am very very concerned and regret. Please help reply.

Sorry,
As for the pep, my doctor said it depends on me whether or not I carry on, he said that I should not have taken it, but as the first doctor I saw had prescribed it, it is ok to take it for the whole course as it s no use to keep it at home.

So based on my situation, I would like to seek your advice on keeping on taking it or not.
And any possible side effects, as I am suffering from a bit diarrhea and hip pain?

Thanks for reply.

1) No risk=no test
2) Decision made by you and your Dr
3) You used a condom.
4) See #3

We can't keep telling you that you had no risk, you can accept it or not but we are not going to keep repeating ourselves.

Thanks again.
To bother you, sorry, I have a few more questions

1. So I don't need to have a blood test?
2. I can stop pep, right, or should I finish the 28 day course of pep to prevent that maybe one over million risk? (one over million is a figure quoted by a doctor to me in hong kong)

3. insertion to vargina less than 20 seconds minimize the exposure? Or once it gets it, no matter how long the time is, constitue equal risk?

4. Can my risk be quantified?

Sorry to bother, as I am very very worried and regretful.

Thanks for this quick response.

I feel thankful for your answer, but are you certain with it as I am very very worried and cannot sleep well for two weeks.

I have diarrhea, hip pain and feeling a bit tired, are they related to pep(truvada, Isentress) ?

As mentioned, I cannot be sure with the quality and brand of the condom, am I still risk free for hiv?

Can I stop pep then?

Thank you very much.
