Red and Purple spots around my eyes

Hi Doc,
I really hope I am not wasting your time, but I very concerned with what I have been noticing. I have been noticing these small red, pinkish and some even purple spots around my eyes. I have found that it is not uncommon for people with HIV to develop some skin conditions but I'm not clear if it usually happens in the later stages  or in the early stages of the virus. I have had unprotected oral sex(recieved) more times than I would like to admit and have had protected anal sex. I was wearing a condom for that. I decided to get an HIV test done and so now I am awaiting the results. What I would like to know from you is if these spots around the eyes indicate anything you know to be related to HIV and if you think the Home Access Hiv test should be sufficent enough for me to relax. Think you for your time and hope to hear from you soon.

This discussion is related to hiv?.

Your exposure was extremelly minimal and the symptoms have nothing to do with ARS.  Eat your guilt and move on.

Yeah most everything I have read has said that KS is related to aids but I guess I am just feeling guilty and stressing myself out. I have been afraid to get tested but have finally made the move to find out. I do hope its negative and I get a fresh start. I was being selfish and not just putting myself at risk. I want to thank all of you that responded and gave me some good information. Thank you.

Not to infer that PAZIG is correct about the purple spots in relation to HIV/AIDS.  Just saying that you have no concern because it has nothing to do with ARS.

I'm guessing PAZIG means some AIDS related symptom?  Spots around the eyes have nothing to do with ARS. So we're talking years.

Thank you guys for your insight and input. I should get my test results in a week or so and will try to relax until than. Also, how late in the virus would those spots i indicated start to show up.

It's as effective as any test out there for all intents and purposes.

I think the purple spots around eyes in hiv are KS lesions with is a type of skin cancer, this would be a latent stage of hiv
